[Libunwind-devel] libunwind compile/test errors on SGI UV100

I am attempting to install libunwind on an SGI UV100 running SuSE
Enterprise Linux 11.
The native compile environment is the Intel compiler suite optimized for
the UV architecture, which is problematic for many systems designed on and
for GCC. Accordingly, I have reset the environment variables noted in the
configure script (plus others not included in the autoconf default notice)
to use gcc, g++, ld, ar, and gfortran, and no longer get compile and link
errors, but continue to get six errors during 'make check'

The output of make is shown below, followed by an edited output of
'printenv' in the shell running the compile job.
