Hi libunwind Dev's

I've been reviewing the libunwind package in Ubuntu as part of a
larger piece of work to support use of googleperf-tools by ceph in
Ubuntu main (where these packages will get Canonical backed security
support in released versions of Ubuntu) - see [0] for more details.

I've spent some time endeavouring to enable the test suite for the
five architectures that we support in Ubuntu (see [1]); I've also read
alot of threads about expected test failures for x|y|z architecture
which don't appear to be modelled in the package Makefile configuration.

My feel is that its probably not feasible to use the libunwind test
suite to gate package entry into the Ubuntu archive as part of the
package build process but I wanted to get an opinion on:

a) Whether I am correct in this assumption
b) Whether any of the test failures in the attached document are cause
for concern.

For reference this is libunwind 1.0.1 with some selected cherry picked
patches.
