[Libunwind-devel] Know stack-depth without unwinding?

Hello list,

  I'm just wondering whether is it possible to know the call-stack 
depth without completely unwinding the call-stack. My initial guess is 
that this is not possible (at least on x86 archs), without actually 
executing unw_step for every level of the call-stack.
