http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=2888Till this is fixed I would recommend first run the xml-file with the mentioned option "--no-beaming", save the resulting ly-file with another name, then run the xml-file again without the option; finally copy and paste the lyrics from the first ly-file replacing the lyrics in the second. This worked great as far as I can see...
