Issue 1196 is about creating a bend engraver - which requires knowledge of  
C.
This issue has been added just to integrate the scheme file (bend.ly)  
created by Marc. It may have some limitations compared to a specific  
engraver but it's a good start; also integrating it in the core of lilypond  
would make it easier to update it while lilypond changes.

This bend stuff is in the process of being reviewed and added to the  
openlilylib/snippets on github:
https://github.com/openlilylib/snippets/pull/16

Janek started some code clean up but some more adjustments are needed to  
include it in lilypond.
