Elam Rotam, of Early Music Sources fame, has created a font that recreates 16th century typesetting. It could be useful for doing quick, good looking incipits:
The one issue is that it relies heavily on font ligatures. I'll have to try it on 2.19.83.
The input of these ligatures becomes PITA when you change keyboard layout. Try that with a Dvorak keyboard.
I’m not knowledgeable enough to judge if taking the shapes and convert it into a proper notefont to be used by LP is worth the effort.
