After upgrading from 2.20 to 2.24 to get graphical notation, any score I try to run in Lilypond has this error:

Even trying to run a minimal example like a C Major scale on a single staff fails with the same error.
Is there anything I can do to get this fixed?
This is on MacOS Catalina with Lilypond installed via Homebrew.
