Hi,

If you have a linux distrib with gnome-2, you can't install
linphone-0.9.x, try linphone-0.10.0pre4 but for the moment there is no
rpm package.
If not, then you have to install gnome, especially gnome applets.
Depending on your distribution, it can be the packages named gnome-core
or libpanel-applet .
