I've just installed the Debian version 1.0.1-1 and it just doesn't 
start.  It pops up a dialog says:

The Application "linphone" has quit unexpectedly.

The debug shows one thing with is a bit odd.  It seems to be trying to 
use my NAT IP address as the registrar IP address.  This means it's 
trying to connect back to itself which may be why it chokes.  Anyway it 
goes into a "no hope" loop trying to register.
