Simon,

I have recompiled Linphone with these lines:
make clean
LDFLAGS=-g  make
But the result is almost the same; there are slight differences in the
back-trace and an extra line:
Backtrace stopped: previous frame inner to this frame (corrupt stack?).

I have been using a self-compiled version of Linphone all the time. I
checked the Makefile and it has these two lines (not at the same
spot):
CFLAGS = -g -O2
LDFLAGS =
as you had mentioned. This made me try the exercise with the LDFLAGS=

Could it be something with the version of gcc? I seem to remember from
the Ekiga list that the gcc version *could* play a role. My gcc is
4.3.2 and the advice on the Ekiga list was to use either 4.4 or 4.2
for reasons I can't remember.

So: what do I best do now?

Another observation, which I should have included in the very first
post: When I preload the compatibility library, it doesn't matter
which version of V4L I choose, both work equally well. The V4L2
version should fail, shouldn't it?

Kind regards,

Bent
