Hi Dragos,The webcam is a Philipsspc900nc/00. I installed it from the Fedora repositories.
The webcam works fine with other software so I was surprised that it didn't with linphone. The microphone that I am am to use is built in to the webcam.
In the preferences, the webcam section is 'greyed out'. I would provide a message log but uncertain how to get it. Many thanks Ashley---------------------------------------------------------------------- Message: 1 Date: Tue, 28 Jun 2011 13:06:56 -0400 From: Dragos D <address@hidden> To: address@hidden Subject: Re: [Linphone-users] no webcam codecs showing Message-ID: <address@hidden> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Hi, What webcam do you have? How did you install Linphone? Could you provide a message log? Dragos On Sun, Jun 26, 2011 at 2:21 AM, ashley strutt <address@hidden> wrote:
Hi All, I have the previous problem of call testing solved but now have another concerning video. I clicked on the function to allow video but found that my web cam is not showing in linphone (it does with other software). On checking the codecs I find that there are none showing in cidec box of settings. I am pretty sure these are installed on the computer (running Fedora 15). So the question is, how do I get linphone to see my webcam?
