I can second this, the fellow here that manages our Asterisk server attempted to install 3.6 on his macbook and he tells me he's also getting a segfault, and it's the same OSX Version.  He also reports that he "...downloaded the latest build release and it opens and runs."  So, I guess MacOSX 10.7.5 folks may want to try the latest build rather than the 3.6 installer.
