I'm using an Intel chip, X4500HD. The other system I tested with also
had an Intel chip.

I meant sending a message through chat. I understood that it was
completely unusable, but I know now that only video is not working.

That would be great! In any case thanks for the feedback! Do you see any
messages printed on stderr/stdout when running Linphone 3.6 btw? What if
you compile it yourself or maybe try the latest development version?

I'm the uploader of the 3.6 packages, but I don't know what happens when
I will just remove them. I don't want there to be no version for Precise
at all and I do not have the original set that was used for 3.5.2 ready.
Does anyone know how this normally works?

For now, maybe you could use Felix' PPA which seems to have 3.5.2 for
Precise:
https://launchpad.net/~felix.lechner/+archive/linphone-ppa

We could also add a warning for nVidia users instead and point them
there instead of removing 3.6.

Yes, I actually had the same experience when I installed the Linphone
version which comes with Precise and it didn't work at all. It took me a
while before I tried it again after this.
We should fix this as soon as possible.

It sounds ok to me. I suppose more feedback would need to be collected
somehow though. Now you're the only one who responded to me about these
packages.

Thanks,
Julius
