That is great news and at least one problem has now been resolved.

Well have you checked and double checked that you are using the
correct combination of username and password with the correct
uppercase/lowercase letters as appropriate?

Which indicates that either you are using the incorrect user name
or the wrong password. (And yes it happens to all of us at times.)

 > I tried using my full sip user name

When you put in the user name, just enter the username and nothing
else ie doe not put in @sip.linphone or @linphone.org or any @{whatever}
whatsoever.

Of course you have to know your password, which if you have a working
registering linphone application you can get from the ${HOME}/.linphonerc file

Just use your preferred pager more, most, less, xless or even view or
whatever to examine the contents of ${HOME}/.linphonerc and look for the
blocks begining with [auth_info_{#}] and the one which has
realm="sip.linphone.org"
and there you will find your working username and password, eg

  [auth_info_0]
  username=my_username
  userid=my_username
  passwd=my_top_secret_password
  realm="sip.linphone.org"

which you can then test in Twinkle and on the Linphone Web page.

If you have multiple accounts registered within linphone then the Linphone SIP
user account details may not be under [auth_info_0] but [auth_info_1] or
[auth_info_2] etc.

Hmm, there are particularly bad TV shows everywhere, not just where I live ;+)
