[Linphone-users] desktop 3.8.3 and Android 2.4.1 typing in the chat is slow

Dear all,
I'm running 3.8.3 on Ubuntu Trusty under Xfce and typing in the
Linphone chat  is unbearably slow (compared to 3.7.0). What happens is
that "if I type this phrase in one go", then it takes some 2-3 sec
before Linphone displays the text in the input box.

Funnily, a similar issue happens with the Android 2.4.1 release
(compared to 2.3.2). The chat experience is very, very slowish and
laggy. It takes time before the keyboard appears, before it
disappears, before the message gets sent once the button is pressed,
etc. And more generally the latest release feels more slow wrt menus,
like Settings. After downgrading back to 2.3.2, I no longer experience
sluggishness.

Am I the only one experiencing this?
