Hello,
I'm using linphone 3.9.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 from this repository:
https://launchpad.net/~felix.lechner/+archive/ubuntu/linphone-ppa.
Unfortunately, I have noise and sound artefacts, when I call with
linphone. They appear already directly when I start a call and the other
side hasn't picked up yet. I mean not even the locally generated beep,
which informs you about the call, is clear.
What can I do to debug this problem?
The problem occurs when I call via my local FritzBox (home router quite
common here in Germany, allows local sip phones) just like it appears
when I make a direct sip call to a testserver, for example to
sip:address@hidden
I tried to change the codecs, but it seems to happen with any of them. I
think it might be a problem between linphone and pulseaudio as Skype has
had similiar problems some years ago.
Thanks for reading
Matthias
