Great news on this one! I just checked, and Linphone seems to have magic self-healing powers (because I haven't received any OS or Linphone update since then). Or the several phone power-downs in the meantime may have played a role.

Anyway, only the points 1 and 5 (which isn't a real use case though, just a test) are still valid. Uninstalling the app, phone reboot and re-installing doesn't help.

Additional details to the point 1: When one taps anywhere in the Linphone app (e.g. a number key) after that, the app crashes (closes and presents a crash report on the next start) - please check your recent crash reports. I've sent one, with test steps.

On a side note, I had changed the phone language (completely) a while before the Linphone update. But Linphone is the only app misbehaving since then. Just in case this has any impact.

------------------------------

Notes: There are quite a few reports of the crashing issues from February. See, e.g., https://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/linphone-users/2016-02/msg00078.html, as well as Windows Phone app comments from "Friesen · 24.02.2016" and " Christian · 07.03.2016" on https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/store/apps/linphone/9wzdncrdj0bq#ratings-reviews

And I've also seen a comment about not being able to receive calls (by "Xaver · 17.04.2016" on the above comments page).

Kind regards,

Hannes

Subject: Issues with the new Linphone version 1.0.5.0 on WinPhone

Dear devs,

I updated today to the new Linphone version 1.0.5.0 (Nokia Lumia 520,
WinPhone 8.1 Denim) and started having following issues:

1. No incoming calls possible - no incoming calls are displayed. No
matter if under lock screen or not. (On the calling side, there is a ca.
15 seconds silence followed by what corresponds to the "busy" signal.
It's similar to what happens when the client is not registered, except
for a much shorter silence period in the latter case.)

2. No outgoing calls possible - call connects fine, but there is silence
on both sides of the line, followed by the "busy" sound after half a minute.

3. A sporadic crash when tapping the "Contacts" key (I have had it twice
so far, and once on tapping the "Dialer" at the top (which causes a
re-registration)). Exception report:

Version of the app: 7a03627

4. Sending crash reports (like the one in the previous point above) from
the phone to the default email address (address@hidden) doesn't
work. The phone shows a "Sending failure" (loosely translated) message,
notifying that the message cannot be sent and has been placed into the
Drafts folder. And that one needs to check the email address and that
the attachments aren't too large.

5. Just for info, this is not my normal use case: Following crash occurs
when one additionally connects another (Linux Linphone) SIP client to
the same account and tries, as a test, calling it (i.e. own SIP account)
from the WinPhone Linphone app (which worked before, both ways). The
"receiving" client rings and the WinPhone Linphone app crashes:

6. A crash when tapping the "Video" settings:

7. Another crash report (I'm not sure what action caused the crash. Just
noticed the report after starting the Linphone app.):

------------------------------------------------------------------

I uninstalled and installed the app again, but the issues persist.
