OK, so here's where I am:
- I compiled the game under Windows and DOS today, and it appears that
on my machine, the DOS release can't load ressources, but the Windows one
can.
- to check if the bug is in Liquid War or Allegro, I tried to launch the
"filetest" which ships with Allegro. As for LW, it works under Windows
and pathetically fails under DOS.
- I've uploaded here:
http://www.ufoot.org/archive/filetest.zip
a zip file which contains the 2 tests (for DOS & Windows). It would be
just cool if you could try them on your computer. Basically, they
should allow you to browse your disks. If not => Allegro bug!
- I'll file the bug to the Allegro developpement team anyway, for
there's a bug (at least under DOS)
- if I was compiling stuff under DOS, it's beacause 5.5.0 is just almost
released 8-)
Have a nice day.
Christian.
