Logica Holdings: Taking e-Commerce to New Levels

Maximum Awards, Inc. (OTCBB MXRW) (To be renamed as Logica Holdings), announced today the acquisition of Plays On The Net, PLC, Anne’s World, and curtainrising.com.

Logica Holdings targets e-commerce and security-related companies with innovative technologies and unique market opportunities. By partnering with leaders in the computer and security industries, Logica strive to provide organic growth through each of their subsidiaries and true investor value through continuous strategic acquisitions.

All Logica acquisitions have a clear concept and focus, whilst sharing a common theme. Plays On The Net was founded in 2003 by British playwright Chris Savery as a platform for undiscovered writers. An online database for unpublished playwrights, this inventive site captured the imagination of theatre enthusiasts across the UK and North America, as well as the attention of leading names in publishing. Mr Savery transformed his site into an e-commerce venture when the company secured the license to sell titles from BBC Audiobooks in 2006, thereby turning Plays On The Net into an audio download site as well as a much-needed voice for new writing.

POTN, with its strong download content and contacts within the theatre industry, is further enhanced by Curtain Rising, an equally creative venture which was conceived as an online database for theatre. Organized by city, the concept was a user-friendly search engine that would enable theatre goers to locate productions, venues and information from around the world with ease. Curtain Rising has now licensed the rights to its database and web site to Playsonthenet and the combination of the two companies is set to become the single resource centre for theatre goers, playwrights and advertisers.

Curtain Rising Magazine which launched in the spring, is a weekly online glossy including news, reviews and features about the world of theatre. Published weekly on the Curtain Rising and POTN websites, CR Magazine is fast developing a regular readership and as advertising demands grow, plans are in the works for a printed version to be distributed in theatres and entertainment stores.

Alongside these theatre-oriented websites, Logica has obtained the license for its most exciting and original venture yet: Anne’s Diary. The world’s first secure social networking site for children, Anne’s Diary is a MySpace-style virtual world for young people, secured with cutting-edge biometric technology in the form of a personal fingerprint reader. Inspired by the stories of “Anne of Green Gables”, the site offers a safe, fun and educational environment where children can keep a private online diary and photo gallery and chat with their peers from around the world in a protected chatroom and forum, safe in the knowledge that they are communicating only with verified members of the same age.

Thanks to the technology of our partners: Fujitsu, Novell and 123ID, Anne’s Diary is setting new standards in online safety whilst offering children a unique and exciting world in which to express their creativity and interact with other young people. Partnerships with other high-end children’s websites as well as police enforcement and education authorities will help bring this ground-breaking project to children and concerned parents around the world.
