wrapping text around images

Is there a way to make text wrap around an image, i.e., get narrower when
parallel to the image and then widen again afterwards?  I didn't find any
example of this in the expert's guide.  In general, can you make
irregularly shaped galleys composed of various rectangles next to each
other, and how?
Where can I find some more examples of documents in lout to learn from and
to try with my Hebrew support?  If anyone has any good examples, I would
appreciate if they could send them to me or the list.
Also, is it possible to get a tarball of the list archives, and how big
would it be?
