LYNX-DEV lynx2-6FM w. COOKIE support

I have just compiled the Jan.16 version of lynx2-6FM and tested its 
cookie support at a few sites; here are some observations:

1)  it seems that cookies in the cookie jar are NOT returned to the 
server when the originating page is reloaded, for example see 
    http://www.illuminatus.com/cookies.fcgi
or the various browser test pages.

2)  the cookies at http://clix.net have crashed lynx with a message of
    "Illegal instruction".

Any suggestions?
