Hea I need help!!!!1

I am trying to install Lynx 2-7 in my dir.  I use Lunix and a shell acount to
access the internet.  My systerms operator is like not answering my e-mails
to install it for the sytem so i though mabe i could just install it in
my directory.  I figured I would have to edit the makefile so could someone tell
me first if that is possible and how to do it.
