I know this answer has passed through the list before, but I don't have Web
access in order to search the archives. Please bear with a repeat question:
On our internal Web, we have a server that will not accept connections from
Lynx
unless it identifies itself as being Mozilla-compatible. Someone (Fote?) gave
instructions on what user agent string to employ to allow this. Could somone
repeat it please?
On a related subject, I experimented changing the user agent string and found
that it reverts to the standard "Lynx/2.7 libwww-FM/2.14" when I exit, in spite
of having used ">" to save it. Is this intentional in the code?
