How about lynx2.7Bdy-mon-yrWdy-mon-yr? That is, Lynx<major>.<minor>B<for
Bugfixes><date (eg 27-Feb-97 (assumes < 1 update/day))>W<for Windows or
Wayne><date>. Next would be A (auto-conf), S (styles), T (tables), etc...
It will get cinda long, but will always uniquely identify the version.
