LYNX-DEV Lynx in a shell script?

Is it possible to call Lynx from a background shell script to execute WWW
requests? "-get_data" and "-post_data" look like possible command line
arguments but I don't know how to make them work. Usage examples would be
VERY welcome. I'm running Lynx 2.7 on an RS/6000 with AIX 4.1. Thanks for
your help.
