I can't print to my printer from my Lynx_w32.
This is what happened with 2 of the possible commands:
Using the command: <print %s> I got the message:
Incorrect command or file name.
Using the command: <copy %s lpt1> I got the message:
Incorrect switch /L-4400871tmp.txt
It looks like Lynx calls the file "L-4400871tmp.txt" and uses the "/"
character to tell (a UNIX system) where the file is, am I right? But this
does not work in DOS. Why? My guess is: Either DOS thinks that the
character is part of the file name, but a DOS filename must not contain a
"/" character! Or it thinks that what comes after the character is a
switch, but such a switch of course does not exist. Hence the error
messages.
Long file names should not be a problem for DOS in W95.
Is this the explanation to why I cannot print from Lynx?
How can I solve the solve the problem?
