i don't remember seeing any mention of REPEATED problems re Delphi.
i had no problem getting there & moving around using 2-8pre.2 ;
i didn't try registering anywhere, in case that's the problem.
no site should be Lynx-challenged if it uses correct HTML, incl ALTs,
& 2-8 should present no problems 2-7-2 avoids; 2-8-1 will be better still.

could you explain more carefully just what Delphi's problem is?
