Someone recently claimed, on this list, that mutt is incapable of setting
correct MIME content type information, whereas the Elm (not Pine) that

I don't know of a mail program that does sort by subject that doesn't
behave like this, although I don't have much experience of commercial
ones. The problem tends to come from programs that think it is clever
to localise the Re: into the user's language. (I've seen some BW: subjects
recently.)
