this will make sense to those lynx-devers who also use Screen with UNIX.
i use p to save a lot of news stories,
but i don't want to define SAVE_SPACE in lynx.cfg ,
since Lynx then presents the path in the command line
& i can't use ^u to delete just the offered file name.
if SAVE_SPACE isn't defined, Lynx uses the directory it was started from,
which is tolerable: i just have to start Screen from the directory i want.
however, you can try to define the directory in .screenrc with eg
chdir /homes/purslow/lynx
screen 2 lynxd19
unfortunately, Lynx doesn't obey this command,
but insists on saving files to the directory Screen was started from.
this may be a bug in Screen, rather than a deficiency in Lynx
-- Kermit & Emacs also don't seem to cohabit with Screen very well -- ,
but does anyone have any comments or suggestions?
