Actually, the above is after before 'stty sane'.

Before I get

$ speed 38400 baud; line = 0;
erase = ^?; min = 1; time = 0;
-brkint -icrnl -imaxbel
-icanon -iexten -echo -echoe -echok -echoctl -echoke
