Any chance of getting more information?  AFAIKT, Lynx uses the display
character set from the options menu for all of its rendering, whether it
be web pages or any of the internally generated menus.

I vaguely remember there being a difference for those two and strings you
might enter in your lynx.cfg file, e.g., DOWNLOAD, that show up on internally
generated menus.
