I noticed that a lot of the URL's in the lynx distribution are no longer
active, so I tried verifying those I could and finding substitute URL's

since I didn't have the time to rewrite it.

The change which wasn't straightforward is what to use as the default
INDEX file. It still showed the mosaic metaindex in userdefs.h and had
been switched to the main lynx site in lynx.cfg. I don't know that
there is any kind of equivalent to the mosaic metaindex currently in
existence, but I think the closest, with a list of reviewed interesting
sites, would be the Internet Scout Project. I would propose using their
site for our INDEX default in both userdefs.h and in lynx.cfg.

The defualt BIBP_GLOBAL_SERVER in userdefs.h and lynx.cfg is
"http://usin.org";, which appears to be an almost dead link. I don't know
of a publicly available BIBP server. Does anyone know what we can use
for this?

I don't know of a substitute for Subir's Lynx page, which appears to be
gone. We should probably remove the reference to it in LYMessages_en.h.

probably - I think I have a tarball of it, but it's long obsolete.
