[Lynx-dev] a question about cookies.

Hi folks,
I am shopping at amazon.ca although the same issue happens at amazon.com.
While  some of their cookies are being accepted, after a point usually 
once choosing proceed to checkout then providing my password again, I 
reach a page asking me  to enable cookies, although some cookies are 
getting through.
My settings allow for all cookies, but I am wondering what else might 
influence how a site knows if a cookie can get through.
thoughts?
