Size of m4 executable

Hello.

Is it normal/expected/ok that the size of m4 has grown more than 50%
from 1.4.8 to 1.4.9?

On my architecture, the executable for version 1.4.8 had 109396 bytes,
and the one for 1.4.9 will have 174184, more or less.
