I was about to say that I wasn't sure that we wanted to obfuscate the
examples themselves by hiding them in the testsuite.  But I think
you're right; the examples don't really stand up by themselves and
were presumably only added for the sake of the testsuite anyway.

I'm not opposed to the idea of having examples/ mind you -- it just
needs to be populated with something considerably more useful than
what was there previously!
