I've released man-db 2.7.0.

Description
-----------

man-db contains an implementation of the man command, which is the
primary way of examining the on-line help files (manual pages). Other
utilities provided include the whatis and apropos commands for searching
the manual page database, the manpath utility for determining the manual
page search path, and the maintenance utilities mandb, catman and
zsoelim. The package requires a troff installation, such as groff (GNU
troff) to format and display the manual pages.

About this release
------------------

NOTE TO DISTRIBUTORS: This release changes the on-disk database format,
and old databases will be unusable by tools such as apropos and whatis
until mandb has been run. I suggest that you arrange to run mandb on
upgrade to this version.

This release switches from tracking the modification time of manual page
databases in a special row to simply using file modification times, thus
making databases reproducible between otherwise-identical installations.
man-db now uses high-precision timestamps throughout on systems that
support them.

Files are now ordered by first physical extent before reading them, for
substantial performance improvements in operations such as mandb and
'man -K'.

For full details, please see the files NEWS and ChangeLog in the source
distribution.
