Apparently no. I wanted to make a few minor improvements but I first
needed to install maposmatic on my computer and that takes time
(without taking into account real life constraints). I stopped just
before maposmatik-osm install. ;-)

Regarding minor improvements, could you remove any space before any
double punctuation ("!", ";", ":", "?") as they are not used in
English.

I don't know how to do that. However there is an RSS feed on the git
repository browser:
