This could potentially be fixed by tweaking the Mapnik stylesheet I
guess, by forcing the selection of a certain zoom level.
Today, we managed to fix one problem related to translating/rotating,
the MarkerSymbolizer was buggy in Mapnik, which lead to one-way arrows
of the MapQuest stylesheet to be improperly rendered.
However, we still have the halo text problem with the Mapnik-OSM
official stylesheet.
