I've attached a diff and all the files in `v7/src/etc/' that I added.
(c-prepare.scm takes the place of script.scm.) I'll commit the
changes shortly if there are no problems observed with these.
...er, no, sorry, I'll try to find less kludgey ways to do some of
this, and commit once the internals are a little cleaner.
