It seems great minds release (checkpoint?) on the same day.  Unsurprised
AND undaunted I have updated my tarballs to work with the 20080130
checkpoint.

I have also fixed up the docos and Makefiles to be a bit more automatic --
like, TOTALLY automagical here at Nine Herb Abbey.
