Over the past couple of years I have added some microcode primitives
that have OS-dependent interfaces without (more than stubs of)
implementations on Windows, which would probably be worth implementing
before we make a new snapshot, if someone who knows about the Windows
API and can test them is up for that. Two such interfaces that come
to mind are OS_channel_synchronize and OS_open_exclusive_output_file;
there may be others that I don't remember.
