Again the Send button is enlightening.  But I'm not sure we can use a
"solution" that consists entirely of removing all db-4 related lines
from the source.

If you have a libdb-4 but do not want to use it, you will need to
configure with --with-db-4=no.  If that doesn't work, please let us
know.
