I guess, 97% of those servers listed are dead, because they run on a
dynamic IP. Each connection try takes about 5 seconds. Now, to scan
those 7500 dead servers, it takes 7500*5/3600 = about 10 hours.

Definatetly. It only hurts your search for open servers and new sources.
