Either way the files should not get corrupted...i myself often do that
(moving files out of temp-dir to another disc to free space for more
important downloads). and if i dont do that the disc fills
up....mldonkey then pauses downloads....

if mldonkey recalculates those md4s and checks that those chunks are
not completed - it wont upload them.
ever fsck-ed your drive? i do this once a month and fsck sometimes
finds some broken inodes (which can be repaired) only on the drive
mldonkey runs on....
