[Mldonkey-users] Torrents in Magnet Uri style for Partial queryhitbacks

Subject: [Mldonkey-users] Torrents in Magnet Uri style for Partial queryhitbacks (swarming) on all 3 networks

Hi,

is it posible that the peers on Bittorrent can exchange sources without the
central tracker, so that the tracker is onl needed for the oinitial sequence
like a bootstrapper in overnet or the downloading in emule without a server ?
Emule clients update the serverlist p2p from known peers, not central, this
principle should be integrated into bittorrent, so that i do not need the
tracker al the time, only to get a few ip adresses in the begining.

Another thinb to change is the magnet uri style of torrents:

For Torrents Bram, Simon and Mike should add a Toorrent-Tracker maker, which
shares the torrent-file on shareaza with "myipincluded":

http://shareazaforum.anenga.com/showthread.php?threadid=149

The Torrent link would look like:

Magnet:?
Plus -> Tigertree of the movie-file
Plus -> ed2k of the movie-file

Plus XS = -> tigertree of the torrent-file to search for it over g2
Plus -> My ip incluced of the torrent-file

&Dn=Filename.exe of the movie file.

So you have tracker shown in Magnet style.
You click the magnet and shareaza looks for the original file by
tigerhash/sha1.
If not found adittionally the Torrent-tracker can be searched over gn2 with
the sha1-hash and my ip included.
then the central tracker can be found immediately and start downloading,
while sha1 of original file and ed2l-link of original file are known to swarm
from completed files as well.

So please integrate the central bootstrapper - and nothing more is a tracker
- into a decentral hosing over shareaza.

Matrix reloaded showed the downtime of central trackers and that this
tracker could only be in russia. So make the tracker decnetral by a megnet plus
include my ip.

Thanks

this follows a New standard for magnet uri (COUPLING)

For example, lets take the first disk of Redhat 9.
The current Magnet
setup:
magnet:?xt=urn:bitprint:EEP5RGJFC655WWDWXAYIB3T7UV2X3UV4.LUV2HHGN5X7SYMXVVRFMZJEICPUWMQNPAGEOUSY&dn=shrike-i386-disc3.iso

The Proposed Magnet Setup: This seems to be allready supported
too!

magnet:?xt=urn:bitprint:EEP5RGJFC655WWDWXAYIB3T7UV2X3UV4.LUV2HHGN5X7SYMXVVRFMZJEICPUWMQNPAGEOUSY&xt=ed2k:16499bcab44d40010b4af5ac9c460cf5&dn=shrike-i386-disc3.iso

But why isn't this the default for ALL of the Magnet links?!?!?!?

Magnet:?
Plus ->Tigertree
Plus -> ed2k
Plus-> &Dn=Filename.exe

Then maybe &XS for alternate sources (Include my ip).

Swarming partials fom edoneky, g2 and torrent is the only way to go.
Torrent is only needed to bootstrap from the peers.

Sharing of Partials guarantees sucess

The fastest growing star in the exploding file sharing scene maybe Shareaza.
It has become very popular in the community, and other community especially.
Shareaza was originally intended to be a replacement for ed2k file servers.
Shareaza is much more efficient because as soon as a downloader on Shareaza
gets a chunk of a file they become a server for the file. While not having all
of the file, they share the chunks they have received. Unlike popular peer
to peer king Kazaa, where a user does not share the file until they have it
complete. The problem with that is many people will often remove the file from
sharing as soon as it completes, or don’t share any files at all. With
Shareaza, users are forced to share, at least until they have completed their
download.
This makes Shareaza most similar to the popular Emule/Edonkey/Overnet file
sharing clients. However for the most part you download one file at a time
with Bit Torrent so all your bandwidth, both your upstream, and downstream goes
towards that one files. Where when using Emule most users download many files
at a time, splitting up their bandwidth between them. Also P2PForums has
found that Shareaza just seems to be a bit faster then the clients for the ED2K
network. We suspect the reason behind this is the code under the hood.

The golden rule of edonkey: "partial files are browsable and shown (and
handled for queryhitback by keywordsearch) as complete files", should be
available in MLdonkey and Shareaza as well.
(the searchable metadata of the partial is not the filename!)

Thanks

For emule this means to support this magnet uri style as well:
Magnet:?
Plus ->Tigertree
Plus -> ed2k
Plus-> &Dn=Filename.exe
plus -> Then maybe &XS for alternate sources (Include my ip).
