Ok, I wrote a spam filter that takes a user-specified regexp:

It's a patch against 2.5.3, and it worked fine that night :)
The supplied regexp is case-insensitive, and non anchored, the most useful
syntax will certainly be:
set messages_filter "string1\|string2\|string3"
