Here's a HP/UX patch I received for process/sysdep and with a neat trick for including the right code for the current build platform via header files (it's a bit unorthodox though). Christian, since you where the main architect behind the process code I'm interested in your thoughts on this. Personally I'm a bit uncertain if we should support HP/UX since I do not think any of the project members have a HP/UX machine. Unless Joe (hi Joe) are willing to join the developer mailing list, test and provide HP/UX patches for new releases of monit. Cheers! I found your program on Freshmeat, and it fits my needs completely. I brought it down, but needed it to work on HP/UX, so I spent a day and added all the code to port it to HP. In doing this, I restructured the sysdep.c program into separate modules for each OS (I.E. sysdep_linux.h, sysdep_hp.h, ect..), with includes for the correct module, so I could easily do diff's during my port. I am including all of what I have done in this message, so if you want to include it in your distribution, you will have it. Thanks, and keep up the good coding. Joe Bryant
