Hello,
The attached patch implements a basic support for Hurd[0]. The
Debian package was built[1] and tested[2] with:

# Debian defaults:
set daemon 120
set logfile /var/log/monit.log
set idfile /var/lib/monit/id
set statefile /var/lib/monit/state
set eventqueue
basedir /var/lib/monit/events
slots 100
# Custom stuff:
set httpd port 2812
and use address 192.168.1.3
allow localhost and allow me.test
check device rootfs with path /dev/hd0s1
check process sshd with pidfile /var/run/sshd.pid
-->8--
Everything seems working now. Please take look if that's acceptable
for you.
