ChangeLog: 

* db_variables.ui: smaller tool buttons; removed spacing in the button 
layout to make it look more narrow
* DatabaseVariables.h/cpp: some explanation why we have to query the
variables right when we get the database file path; enable/disable the
drop button based on the selected index; set the default button and icon
for the message box which asks if the user really wants to drop the entry
