What about a middle term solution, like having a "release" (probably another name) command, that would do the same as a checkout but with keyword substitution and no MT/ directory creation? This could help this cases and maintain keyword's out of the monotone repository. Also, lua hooks could take a larger role here. Just my 2 (euro) cents... Regards, ~Nuno Lucas
